Description
In 2006, Sandeep Singh, the Indian hockey player, exposed to an unfortunate shooting accident in which he had a serious injury that made him disabled in his leg. Doctors told him that he has to use a wheelchair for two years, the thing that comes to him as a shock. Singh adapts on his new life but he also starts to train to recover quickly in an attempt to return to hockey again. It's a real struggling story.

What holds this film together is the performance by Diljit Dosanjh...the glint in his eye changes from impish to determined, and it is this that elevates Soorma from what would otherwise have been a run-of-the-mill sports film.
