For the most part, the show acts primarily as a love letter to sci-fi films and especially to the directors who made them. But if you're a sci-fi lover, you probably couldn't ask for more.

Its excitement is contagious and its grounding of larger-than-life ideas (even if these ideas are sci-fi stars and creators themselves) makes it more than worthy of being the genre's video encyclopedia.
